The day of the fair. Installation continues from early in the morning.

The exhibitors have hit the home stretch and are frantically working until the opening!

As always, we held a ceremony to pray for everyone’s safety and success.

At the opening ceremony, the entire jury appeared on stage together. With the excitement of the exhibitors lingering in the air, GEISAI TAIWAN#2 officially began!

Visitors begin entering the venue. The line was awesome! And the artworks were even better!

At this booth, the exhibitor supplemented their work with live painting!

Here was a painting by a skillful artist who was also quite young.

There were several exhibitors who set up family booths. GEISAI Taiwan is a great way to experience how Taiwanese have made art part of their every day lives.

That’s a lot of artwork! Too much, even?!

There were a high number of female artists. TAIWAN#2.

This powerful installation had the feel of a junk heap. And yet, it really functioned as an artwork.

This booth was by a group of Japanese art students who had also previously exhibited at Kaikai Kiki Gallery. The artist pictured here is Satoko Okamoto.

Every inch of this booth was covered in drawings. Overwhelming!

This installation employed video. The artist came over from Japan.

This exhibitor filled a booth with drawings, which was amazing!

Several exhibitors so dominated their space, it felt like we were witnessing a solo exhibition. The number of high quality exhibits was truly astonishing!

These local performers decide to take part as well!

The visitors kept on coming and the level of excitement was even higher than GEISAI Taiwan #1.

And with that, the jury review begins!
